As the guardians of safety and security in Williamson County, we operate through specialized divisions, each meticulously crafted to tackle the diverse challenges of modern policing.
On February 19, 2012 the new Williamson County Jail and Sheriff's Office officially opened the new state of the art 244 bed facility. The facilities are self-sufficient operations consisting of housing, food service and laundry facilities that maintain a high level of service on a daily basis. The Williamson County Jail is operated by Jail Administrator Todd Hunter , along with a very professional and highly trained staff. All Correctional staff undergo the State of Illinois Training Board Certified 200 Hour Academy.
The Records Unit is designed to retain various pieces of data including incident reports, traffic tickets and inmate jail files. The records are for the use of the public, law enforcement agencies and the courts.
